Wendigo is a large goat-like demon. He is definitely one of the strongest enemies in the game so far, because of his great movement speed, damage and also tankiness, as he is capable of surviving two shots from the Super Shotgun. Although his strongest attribute, is that he is able to become invisible. The only way for the player to discover the Wendigo location is to listen to a growls and howls that Wendigo produces, as he moves through the level. After shot, they become visible for a brief moment, giving player a chance to finish it off. It is highly recommended not to take these enemies lightly and use the strongest weapon that player's arsenal can provide.

The Wendigo is a large deer-like demon. It is definitely one of the more adversarial enemies in the game, due to a high health pool, high damage output, speed, and remaining invisible until receiving damage. Luckily, Wendigo play a distinct sound upon spotting the player, and while moving around. When revealed through taking damage, a cinematic "horror" sound will play, and the Wendigo will be visible.

Wendigo are legendary mythical creatures from the Algonquian peoples folklore. Typically, Wendigo are cannibalistic monsters or evil spirits, typically associated with cannibalism murder, insatiable greed, and the cultural taboos against such behaviors. While the Wendigo are found initially in the Ruins in Episode 2, they are seen in the Escher Labs being suspended in red liquid, possibly being contained, experimented on, or produced. Although mutilated bodies and warnings can be found before encountering the Wendigo for the first time, they are not seen infighting with the Military or the Cult without damaging eachother firsthand.
They are first encountered in the E2M2, as the first enemy in this level. Before you actually find one, you can see a lot of corpses of the soldiers lying on the ground, which can signify that Wendigo is gonna fight not only you, but also any human-like enemy found in the level. That is proven wrong, since apart from classic inbetween monster fights, when one accidentaly shots another, there is no point in this game, where Wendigo attacks any other monster without a reason. Whether this has to do something with the corpses belonging to the soldiers that weren't possessed or not, stays covered. After this level, they are uncommonly fought in every level after the E2M2, especially in dark places, where your flashlight is the only source of light.

Wendigo are first encountered in the E2M2, The Ruins. The first two you fight are in an entirely pitch-black area, and are periodically found throughout Episode 2. Be sure to listen for their distinct alert sound, breathing, and physics objects being knocked around by seemingly nothing. Spraying with a weak weapon with a high fire rate (such as the Pistol or Assault Rifle) to reveal the Wendigo, then attacking with a more powerful weapon is a very viable strategy. Be aware that the Wendigo can damage the player while remaining invisible.
