Duskdude, also referred to as the Intruder, is the main character of DUSK. Duskdude serves as the embodiment of the player and very little is known about his background.
Appearance
Duskdude's canon appearance is only revealed through the comics & the ending of the game. He is a tall, older man with a brown trenchcoat & hat.
Lore
Very little is known about Duskdude. In-game level design hints at some story behind Duskdude's origins, but most of it is unclear. Speculation suggests that Duskdude is a treasure hunter that sought the town of DUSK, Pennsylvania in hopes of becoming rich. The level design of E3M7: Homecoming suggests that Duskdude lived in a suburban home and was married, but something may have happened to his spouse, indicated by his comment "It hurts to remember".
Duskdude may also canonically have a fear or hatred of frogs. Interacting with the cellar door outside of Duskdude's house prompts him to say "Don't want to go down there. Too many frogs." This may explain the appearance of the Horrors, which are very amphibian in appearance. They may be the physical embodiment of Duskdude's fear of frogs.

- Duskdude's appearance is similar to that of Caleb from the game Blood.
